"عن عبد اللَّه بن عبيد اللَّه قال: رأى عمر بن الخطاب على الأحنِف قميصًا فقال: يا أحنف: بكم أخذتَ قميصَك هَذَا؟ قال: أخذتُه بِاثنى عشرَ دِرْهمًا، قال: ويحك ألا كان بستةِ دراهمَ وكان فضلُه فيما تعلم؟ ! ".
