"لَوْ كَانَ لابْنِ آدَمَ وَادٍ مِنْ نَخْلٍ لَتَمَنَّى مِثْلَه، ثُمَّ تَمَنَّى مِثْلَه، حَتَّى يَتَمَنَّى أوْدِيَةً، وَلَا يَمْلأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إلا التّرَابُ".  

[حم] أحمد [ع] أبو يعلى وابن عوانة، [حم] أحمد [ض] ضياء المقدسي في مختاره عن جابر قال [حب] ابن حبّان تفرد الأعمش بقوله: "من نخل"
