" جَاءَ رجُل إلَى النَّبِىِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَارسُولَ الله رَأيْتُ فِى الْمَنَامِ كَأَنَّ رَأسى قُطِعَ، فَضَحِكَ النَّبِى ﷺ وَقَالَ: إِذَا لَعِبَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِأَحَدِكُم فِى مَنَامِهِ فَلاَ يُحَدِّثْ بِهِ النَّاسَ ".

Messenger of Allah, I have seen in the state of sleep as if my head had been cut off. Thereupon Allah's Apostle ﷺ laughed and said: When the satan plays with any one of you in the state of sleep, do not mention it to the people; and in the hadith transmitted by Abu Bakr (the words are): "If one of you is played with, and he did not make any mention of the word: "Satan."  

مسلم:٢٢٦٨eوَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

“A man came to the Prophet ﷺ when he was delivering a sermon and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Last night in my dream I saw my neck being struck and my head fell off, and I chased it, picked it up and put it back.’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘If Satan plays with any one of you in his dreams, he should not tell people about it.’”
