" عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: سُئِلَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ عَنِ الْجُنُبِ هَلْ يَنَامُ أَوْ يَأكُلُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟ فَقَالَ: إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ ".
"The Prophet was asked about whether a person who is sexually impure can sleep, or eat, or drink. He said: 'yes, if he does ablution as for the prayer.'"
سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنِ الْجُنُبِ هَلْ يَنَامُ أَوْ يَأْكُلُ أَوْ يَشْرَبُ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
Can one of us sleep if he is junub? He said: ʿYes, if he does wudoo’ as for prayer.ʿ It was narrated from Ibn ʿUmar that ʿUmar asked the Prophet ﷺ... a similar hadeeth. (Using translation from Aḥmad 235)
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَيَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»
أَبُو عِمْرَانَ أَحْسَبُهُ الْجَوْنِيَّ عَنْ عَدِيٍّ
[AI] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ if a person in a state of janabah can sleep? He said, "He should perform ablution for prayer."
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ الْجُنُبِ يَنَامُ؟ قَالَ «يَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»
[AI] "To sleep, eat, drink, or perform ablution for prayer."
أَنْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»
[AI] "To sleep, to eat, to drink, to perform ablution for prayer."
أَنْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»
[AI] "To eat, sleep, or drink while in a state of impurity, one should perform ablution (wudu) for the purpose of prayer."
أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»
[AI] To eat, sleep, or drink while being in a state of major ritual impurity, one must perform ablution for the prayer.
أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»
