"صَامَ نُوحٌ الدَّهْرَ إِلَّا يَوْمَ الْفِطْر وَالأَضْحَى، وَصَامَ داودُ نِصْفَ الدَّهْرَ، وَصَامَ إِبراهِيمُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ من كُلَّ شَهْرٍ، صَامَ الدَّهْرَ وأَفْطَرَ الدَّهْرَ".

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Noah fasted throughout his life, except on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. David fasted half of his life, and Ibrahim (Abraham) fasted three days every month. They fasted throughout their lives and broke their fasts throughout their lives."  

الطبراني:١٣٧٨٧ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ قَالَ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قَنَانٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ أَبِي فِرَاسٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ
