"صَامَ نُوحٌ الدَّهْرَ إِلَّا يَوْمَ الْفِطْر وَالأَضْحَى، وَصَامَ داودُ نِصْفَ الدَّهْرَ، وَصَامَ إِبراهِيمُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ من كُلَّ شَهْرٍ، صَامَ الدَّهْرَ وأَفْطَرَ الدَّهْرَ".

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Noah fasted throughout his life, except on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. David fasted half of his life, and Ibrahim (Abraham) fasted three days every month. They fasted throughout their lives and broke their fasts throughout their lives."
