("تَصَدَّقْ بأصْلِهِ، لَا يُبَاعُ، وَلَا يُوهَبُ، وَلَا يُورَثُ، وَلَكِنْ ينفَقُ ثَمَرُهُ" قاله عليه الصلاة والسلام لعمر بن الخطاب حين أَراد أن يتصدق بالحائط الذي يقال له ثَمغٌ، وكان نَخْلًا.

[خ] البخاري عن عبد الله بن عمر بن الخطاب. قال عبد الله بن عمر: فتصدق به عمر، وذكر أن صدقة ذلك: في سبيل الله، وفي الرقاب، والمساكين، والضيف، وابن السبيل، ولذى القربى، ولا جناح على من ولِيهُ أَن يأكل منه بالمعروف، أو يوكِلَ صديقَهُ، غير متمول به)
