"التَّائِبُ من الذَّنبِ كَمَنْ لَا ذَنْبَ له، والمُستَغْفِرُ من الذَّنبِ وهو مُقيمٌ عليه كالْمستَهْزِئِ بربِّه، ومن آذى مسلمًا كان عليه مِنَ الذنوب مثلُ مَنابِتِ النَّخْلِ" .  

البيهقي، وابن أَبي الدنيا، وابن عساكر عن ابن عباس وسنده ضعيف

ابن أَبي الدنيا عن ابن عباس، وسنده ضعيف، فيه من لا يعرف، وروى موقوفًا، وقال الترمذي: ولعله أَشبه بل هو الراجح
