Abu Bakr ᴿᴬ reconciles with Fatima ᴿᴬ before her death

bayhaqi:12735Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > Abū ʿAbdullāh Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb al-Ḥāfiẓ > Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Wahhāb > ʿAbdān b. ʿUthmān al-ʿAtakī Binaysābūr > Abū Ḍamrah > Ismāʿīl b. Abū Khālid > al-Shaʿbī

[AI] Fatimah fell ill. Abu Bakr al-Siddiq came to her and asked permission to enter. Ali said, “O Fatimah, this is Abu Bakr seeking permission to come in to you.” She said, “Do you want me to give him permission?” He said, “Yes.” So she gave him permission, and he entered upon her, seeking to please her. He said, “By Allah, I did not leave the home, wealth, family, and clan except in pursuit of the pleasure of Allah, the pleasure of His Messenger, and your pleasure, O People of the House.” Then he continued to seek her approval until she was satisfied.
