The Prophet’s final supplication

[AI] That she heard the Prophet ﷺ and listened attentively to him before he died, while he was leaning his back against me, saying: "O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, and join me with the Highest Companion."

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَأَصْغَتْ إِلَيْهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ، وَهْوَ مُسْنِدٌ إِلَىَّ ظَهْرَهُ، يَقُولُ: «اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالرَّفِيقِ».

I heard the Prophet ﷺ , who was resting against me, saying, "O Allah! Excuse me and bestow Your Mercy on me and let me join with the highest companions (in Paradise)." See Qur'an (4.69)

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهْوَ مُسْتَنِدٌ إِلَىَّ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالرَّفِيقِ الأَعْلَى

"I saw the Messenger of Allah while he was dying. He had a cup with water in it, he put his hand in the cup then wiped his face with the water, then said: 'O Allah! Help me with the throes of death and the agony of death.'"

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ بِالْمَوْتِ وَعِنْدَهُ قَدَحٌ فِيهِ مَاءٌ وَهُوَ يُدْخِلُ يَدَهُ فِي الْقَدَحِ ثُمَّ يَمْسَحُ وَجْهَهُ بِالْمَاءِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى غَمَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ أَوْ سَكَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ
