A supplicant asked for a punishment bound to happen  

A petitioner petitioned, a supplicator supplicated ˹for˺, an impending chastisement
القرآن:٧٠:١بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

سَأَلَ سَائِلٌ بِعَذَابٍ وَاقِعٍ  

{سأل سائل} دعا داع {بعذاب واقع}.
