quran:67:10

And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze."  

And they will say, ‘Had we listened, that is, listening so as to understand, or comprehended, that is, comprehension entailing reflection ˹upon the truth˺, we would not have been among the inhabitants of the Blaze’.
القرآن:٦٧:١٠

وَقَالُوا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ  

{وقالوا لو كنا نسمع} أي سماع تفهم {أو نعقل} أي عقل تفكر {ما كنا في أصحاب السعير}.
