nasai:5032 – ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Muḥammad b. Sallām > Isḥaq / Ibn Yūsuf b. al-Azraq > ʿAwf > Muḥammad b. Sīrīn > Abū Hurayrah

The Prophet [SAW] said: "Whoever follows the funeral procession of a Muslim out of faith and in the hope of reward, then offers the funeral prayer for him and waits until he is placed in his grave, then he will have two Qirats, each of which is like Mount Uhud. Whoever offers the funeral prayer for him then returns, he will have one Qirat."  

النسائي:٥٠٣٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يُوسُفَ بْنِ الْأَزْرَقِ عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ اتَّبَعَ جَنَازَةَ مُسْلِمٍ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ انْتَظَرَ حَتَّى يُوضَعَ فِي قَبْرِهِ كَانَ لَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ وَمَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ كَانَ لَهُ قِيرَاطٌ

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ هَذَا الْفَضْلَ إِنَّمَا يَكُونُ لِمَنْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ احْتِسَابًا لِلَّهِ لَا رِيَاءً وَلَا سُمْعَةً وَلَا قَضَاءً لَحِقٍ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever follows the funeral of a Muslim with faith and seeking reward, and prays for him until he is buried, then sits until he is placed in his grave, he will return with two measures of reward similar to Uhud mountain. And whoever prays for him and leaves before he is buried, he will have one measure of reward."  

ابن حبّان:٣٠٨٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ خَلْفٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ الْأَزْرَقُ عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنِ اتَّبَعَ جَنَازَةَ مُسْلِمٍ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ حَتَّى يُوضَعَ فِي قَبْرِهِ فَإِنَّهُ يَرْجِعُ وَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ وَهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ وَمَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُوضَعَ فِي الْقَبْرِ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ»
