AHMAD 15716:
from Muḥammad b. Muslim b. ʿUbaydullāh al-Zuhriyyuʿan al-Sāʾib b. Yazīd Ibn Ukht Namir —
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had only one Mu'adhin for all prayers, whether on Friday or other days. He would give the Adhan and Iqamah. It is narrated that Bilal would give the Adhan when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on the pulpit on Fridays, and would give the Iqamah when he came down. This practice continued during the caliphate of Abu Bakr and Umar, until the time of Uthman.
