nasai-kubra:9919Muḥammad b. Bashhār > Muḥammad > Shuʿbah > Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman a freed slave of Abū Ṭalḥah > Kurayb > Ibn ʿAbbās > Jūwayriyah

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ passed by her in the mosque while she was praying, and then he passed by her again around midday and asked her, "Are you still in the same condition?" She replied, "Yes." He then said to her, "Shall I teach you words that you can say?" And he mentioned a phrase that means, "Glory be to Allah the number of His creations, glory be to Allah the satisfaction of His self, glory be to Allah the satisfaction of His self, glory be to Allah the satisfaction of His self, glory be to Allah the weight of His throne, glory be to Allah the weight of His throne, glory be to Allah the weight of His throne, glory be to Allah the ink of His words, glory be to Allah the ink of His words, glory be to Allah the ink of His words." 9920

Narrated by Mahmoud ibn Ghailan: Abu Usama informed us that Mis'ar narrated to me from Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Rushdin, from Ibn Abbas, from Juwayriyah, that the Prophet ﷺ passed by her after performing the dawn prayer while she was making remembrance of Allah. Then he returned and proceeded to relate the hadith. Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: Abu Rushdin, also known as Kuraib, was a freed slave of Ibn Abbas. His son, Rushdin ibn Kuraib, was weak in narration, but his other son, Muhammad ibn Kuraib, was not strong except that he was slightly better. Kuraib was trustworthy and among the clients of Ibn Abbas, the only weak narrator was Shu'bah, a client of Ibn Abbas. As for the statement of Malik, he said, "He did not resemble the reciters."
