"It is as if I am looking now at the Messenger of Allah [SAW] on the Minbar, wearing a black turban, the end of which he has let hang down between his shoulders." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5346)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٩٦٧٤أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْبَلْخِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ مُسَاوِرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

«كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ السَّاعَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ قَدْ أَرْخَى طَرَفَهَا بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ»

As if I am seeing Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the pulpit with a black turban on his head, and its two ends hanging between his shoulders. Abu Bakr (another narrator) did not make mention of:" Upon the pulpit".

I saw the Prophet ﷺ on the pulpit and he wore a black turban, and he let both the ends hang between his shoulders.
