[Machine] We were practicing it, meaning the pleasure of women, during the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , during the time of Abu Bakr, and at the beginning of Umar's caliphate, until Shu'bah disagreed with it and prohibited us from it.  

الكبرى للنسائي:٥٥١٣أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ يَعْنِي النَّبِيلَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ «كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ بِهَا يَعْنِي مُتْعَةَ النِّسَاءِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَفِي زَمَانِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَصَدْرًا مِنْ خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ حَتَّى نَهَانَا عَنْهَا خَالَفَهُ شُعْبَةُ»
