[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , was brought a man who had consumed alcohol, so he struck him with sandals about forty times. Then Abu Bakr was brought, and he did the same. Then Umar was brought, and he mentioned something similar.  

الكبرى للنسائي:٥٢٥٧أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

«أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِرَجُلٍ قَدْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَضَرَبَهُ بِالنِّعَالِ نَحْوًا مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ» ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَصَنَعَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ أُتِيَ عُمَرُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
