nasai-kubra:5153 – Wāṣil b. ʿAbd al-Aʿlá > Ibn Fuḍayl > Wāʾil Abū Bakr > Abū Burdah b. Abū Mūsá from his father

That his father used to say: "I do not see any difference between drinking Khamr and worshipping this column instead of Allah the Mighty and Sublime." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5663)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٥١٥٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنِ ابْنِ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ وَائِلٍ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ «مَا أُبَالِي شَرِبْتُ الْخَمْرَ أَوْ عَبَدْتُ هَذِهِ السَّارِيَةَ مِنْ دُونِ اللهِ»
