[Machine] I heard Thawban, the servant of the Prophet ﷺ, being asked about fasting on Saturdays. He said, "Ask Abdullah ibn Busr." He was then asked and he replied, "Fasting on Saturdays is neither obligatory nor forbidden for you."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٢٧٨٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَبُو مُطِيعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَرْطَاةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَامِرٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ السَّبْتِ قَالَ سَلُوا عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ بُسرٍ قَالَ فَسُئِلَ فَقَالَ «صِيَامُ يَوْمِ السَّبْتِ لَا لَكَ وَلَا عَلَيْكَ»
