nasai-kubra:1814ʿAmr b. ʿAlī > Yaḥyá > Dāwud b. Qays > ʿIyāḍ > Abū Saʿīd

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to go out on the day of 'Eid and pray two rak'ahs, then he would deliver the Khutbah and enjoin giving charity, and the ones who gave most charity were the women. If he had any exigency or he needed to send an army he would speak of that, if not, he would go back. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1579)  

الكبرى للنسائي:١٨١٤أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عِيَاضٌ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «كَانَ يَخْرُجُ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ فَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يَخْطُبُ فَيَأْمُرُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ فَيَكُونُ أَكْثَرَ مَنْ يتَصَدَّقُ النِّسَاءُ فَإِنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ حَاجَةٌ أَوْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ بَعْثًا تَكَلَّمَ وَإِلَّا رَجَعَ»
