He asked Aishah about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at night. She said: "He used to pray thirteen rak'ahs: nine rak'ahs standing, one of which was witr, and two rak'ahs sitting. When he wanted to bow he would stand up, and bow and prostrate, and he did that after witr. Then when he heard the call for Subh, he stood up and prayed two brief rak'ahs.  

عَنْ صَلاَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَتْ كَانَ يُصَلِّي ثَلاَثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً تِسْعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَائِمًا يُوتِرُ فِيهَا وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ جَالِسًا فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ قَامَ فَرَكَعَ وَسَجَدَ وَيَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ بَعْدَ الْوَتْرِ فَإِذَا سَمِعَ نِدَاءَ الصُّبْحِ قَامَ فَرَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ  

[Machine] The prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at night, it was said: He used to pray thirteen Rak'ahs at night. He would pray nine Rak'ahs while standing, making odd numbers in them, and he would pray two Rak'ahs while sitting. When he wanted to prostrate, he would stand up, then perform a Rak'ah and prostrate. He would do this after Witr prayer, and he would pray two Rak'ahs when he heard the call to Fajr prayer.  

صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَتْ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً يُصَلِّي تِسْعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَائِمًا يُوتِرُ فِيهِنَّ وَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ جَالِسًا فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ قَامَ فَرَكَعَ وَسَجَدَ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ بَعْدَ الْوِتْرِ وَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ إِذَا سَمِعَ النِّدَاءَ بِالصُّبْحِ
