[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform nine rak'ahs of Witr. But when it was close to the time of Fajr, he would perform seven rak'ahs. He would then perform an additional two rak'ahs while sitting. (Hadith narrated by Muhammad ibn Bashshar, from Al-Hajjaj, from Hammad, from Humaid, from Bakr, from Sa'd ibn Hisham, from Aisha, from the Prophet ﷺ , with a similar narration.)
