[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray nine Rak'ahs at night. But when he became old and weak, he prayed seven Rak'ahs. Abu 'Abdullah followed Abu 'Awanah and narrated both Hadiths together, and this is their last act together.  

الكبرى للنسائي:١٣٥٣أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرِّبَاطِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عُصَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ تِسْعَ رَكَعَاتٍ فَلَمَّا كَثُرَ لَحْمُهُ وَأَسَنَّ صَلَّى سَبْعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ تَابَعَهُ أَبُو عَوَانَةَ فَحَدَّثَ بِالْحَدِيثَيْنِ جَمِيعًا وَآخَرَ مَعَهُمَا
