قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَالشَّفْعِ} [الفجر: 3]

nasai-kubra:11609ʿAbd al-Wahhāb b. al-Ḥakam > Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Sulaymān > Muḥārib b. Dithār And ʾAbī Ṣāliḥ > Jābir

[Machine] Mu'adh prayed and then a man came and prayed with him. The man prayed for a long time in a corner of the mosque and then left. Mu'adh was informed about this and he said that the man was a hypocrite. This was mentioned to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, so he asked the young man about it. The young man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I came to pray with him, but he prolonged it and I left and prayed in a corner of the mosque. So, I caught up with my sacrificial animal." The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to Mu'adh, "O Mu'adh, are you two partners? Where are you from the verses: 'Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High' (87:1), 'By the sun and its brightness' (91:1), 'By the dawn' (89:1), and 'And by the night when it covers' (92:1)?"
