When Allah's Apostle ﷺ contracted marriage with Zainab (Allah be pleased with bet), Umm Sulaim sent him hats in a vessel of stone as a gift. Anas stated that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: Go and invite on my behalf all the Muslims whom you meet. So I invited on his behalf everyone whom I met. They entered (his house) and they ate and went out. And Messenger of Allah ﷺ had kept his hand on the food, and he invoked blessing on that, and said whatever Allah wished him to say, and none whom I met was left uninvited. They ate to their fill and went out, but a group among them remained there and was engaged in lengthy discussion. Allah's Apostle ﷺ felt shy of saying them anything. So he went out and left them in his house and Allah the Great and Majestic revealed this verse:" 0 you who believe, enter not the houses of the Prophet unless permission is given to you for a meal, not waiting for its cooking being finished." Qatada (instead of using the word Ghaira Nazirina) used the word Ghaira Mutahayyinina (i. e. not waiting for the time of the food). But when you are invited, enter..." up to this verse. This is purer for your hearts and their hearts. (Using translation from Muslim 1428h)

[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ married Zaynab, Umm Sulaym gave him a dish of barley in a bowl made of stones. Anas said, "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Go and invite anyone you meet.' So, I invited whoever I met, and they started entering and eating until they were satisfied." The Prophet ﷺ then placed his hand on the food, made a supplication, and said, "Whatever Allah wishes to say." Anas continued, "I did not leave anyone whom I met without inviting them, and they all ate until they were full and left." Then, a group of them remained and continued to talk to the Prophet ﷺ, causing him to feel shy to ask them to leave. He eventually left them in the house. Later, Allah revealed the verse: "O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when you are permitted for a meal, without awaiting its readiness. But when you are invited, then enter" (Quran 33:53) until the part: "for your hearts and their hearts" (Quran 33:53).

[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ married Zainab, Umm Sulaim was sent to him with a bowl of food made from stones. Anas said, "The Prophet ﷺ told me, 'Go and invite whoever you meet from the Muslims.'" So, I went and I did not see anyone except that I invited them. Anas said, "The Prophet ﷺ put his hand in the food, supplicated over it, and said, 'Whatever Allah wishes.'" He said, "So they started eating and taking (from the food), and a group remained in the house. The Prophet ﷺ felt shy to ask them to leave and they prolonged their conversation. So, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left them in the house and Allah revealed, 'O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when you are permitted for a meal, without awaiting its readiness. But when you are invited, then enter; and when you have eaten, disperse without seeking to remain for conversation. Indeed, that (behavior) was troubling the Prophet, and he is shy of (dismissing) you. But Allah is not shy of the truth. And when you ask (his wives) for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts.'"
