[Machine] A man killed another man during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so the Prophet ﷺ imposed upon him a blood money of twelve thousand. He mentioned the statement of Allah: "And they seek revenge only that Allah may enrich them from His bounty and that the Messenger may be righteous himself." (Quran 9:74) The wording of narrating this incident is from Abu Dawud 6979. Muhammad ibn Maymun informed us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us from Amr from Ikrimah, we heard him once saying regarding Ibn Abbas that the Prophet ﷺ "ruled with twelve thousand, meaning in blood money." Abu Abdur-Rahman Muhammad ibn Muslim said: "It is not strong and correct, it is a Mursal narration, and Ibn Maymun is also not strong."  

قَتَلَ رَجُلٌ رَجُلًا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ دِيَتَهُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ أَلْفًا وَذَكَرَ قَوْلَهُ {وَمَا نَقَمُوا إِلَّا أَنْ أَغْنَاهُمُ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ} [التوبة 74] فِي أَخَذِهِمُ الدِّيَةَ اللَّفْظُ لِأَبِي دَاوُدَ 6979 أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ سَمِعْنَاهُ مَرَّةً يَقُولُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «قَضَى بِاثْنَيْ عَشَرَ أَلْفًا يَعْنِي فِي الدِّيَةِ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ وَالصَّوَابُ مُرْسَلٌ وَابْنُ مَيْمُونٍ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ أَيْضًا
