Ibn Umm Maktum used to pronounce Adhan at the behest of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ (despite the fact) that he was blind.  

مسلم:٣٨١a – حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَخْلَدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ يُؤَذِّنُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ أَعْمَى

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had two Mu'adhdhins, Bilal and 'Abdullah b. Umm Maktum, who (latter) was blind.  

مسلم:٣٨٠a – حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مُؤَذِّنَانِ بِلاَلٌ وَابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ الأَعْمَى  

abudawud:535 – Muḥammad b. Salamah > Ibn Wahb > Yaḥyá b. ʿAbdullāh b. Sālim b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar Wasaʿīd b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman > Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father > ʿĀʾishah

Ibn Umm Maktum was the mu'adhdhin of the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) and he was blind.

أَنَّ ابْنَ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ كَانَ مُؤَذِّنًا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ أَعْمَى
