Allah loves those who are God-conscious, have little need, and are discrete about their piety

muslim:2965Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm and ʿAbbās b. ʿAbd al-ʿAẓīm > ʿAbbās > Isḥāq > Abū Bakr al-Ḥanafī > Bukayr b. Mismār > ʿAamir b. Saʿd

Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas was in the fold of his camels that his son 'Umar came to him. When Sa'd saw him he said: I seek refuge with Allah from the mischief of this rider. And as he got down he said to him: You are busy with your camels and your sheep and you have abandoned people who are contending with one another for kingdom. Sa'd struck his chest and said: Keep quite.

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Allah loves the servant who is God-conscious and is free from want and is hidden (from the view of people).

[Machine] His brother, Umar, set off to Saad with his livestock, outside of the city. When Saad saw him, he said, "I seek refuge in Allah from the harm of this rider." When Umar reached him, he said, "O father, are you pleased with me being a Bedouin with your livestock while people are vying for power in the city?" Saad struck Umar's chest and said, "Be quiet. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying that Allah loves a pious, rich, and concealed servant."
