It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ allowed two shares from the spoils to the horseman and one share to the footman.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَسَمَ فِي النَّفَلِ لِلْفَرَسِ سَهْمَيْنِ وَلِلرَّجُلِ سَهْمًا

" from the booty".

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِي النَّفَلِ
