٣۔ كتاب الحيض
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took (meat of) goat's shoulder and offered prayer and did not perform ablution.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَكَلَ كَتِفَ شَاةٍ ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took flesh from the bone or meat, and then offered prayer and did not perform ablution, and (in fact) he did not touch water.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَكَلَ عَرْقًا أَوْ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ وَلَمْ يَمَسَّ مَاءً
I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ take slices from goat's shoulder, and then eat them, and then offer prayer without having performed ablution.
أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَحْتَزُّ مِنْ كَتِفٍ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ take slices from goat's shoulder and then eat them. He was called for prayer and he got'up, leaving aside the knife, and offered prayer but did not perform ablution.
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَحْتَزُّ مِنْ كَتِفِ شَاةٍ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا فَدُعِيَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ فَقَامَ وَطَرَحَ السِّكِّينَ وَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ وَحَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِذَلِكَ
Ibn 'Abbas reported it on the authority of Maimuana, the wife of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took (a piece of goat's) shoulder at her place, and then offered prayer but did not perform ablution.
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَكَلَ عِنْدَهَا كَتِفًا ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
This hadith has been narrated by Ibn 'Abbas on the authority of Maimuna. the wife of the Apostle ﷺ, by another chain of transmitters.
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِذَلِكَ
I testify that I used to roast the liver of the goat for the Messenger of Allah (may peace be tipcn him) and then he offered praver but did not perform ablution.
أَشْهَدُ لَكُنْتُ أَشْوِي لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَطْنَ الشَّاةِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
The Apostle ﷺ took milk and then called for water and rinsed (his mouth) and said: It contains greasiness.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ شَرِبَ لَبَنًا ثُمَّ دَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَتَمَضْمَضَ وَقَالَ إِنَّ لَهُ دَسَمًا
This hadith has been narrated by another chain of transmitters.
عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ مِثْلَهُ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ dressed himself, and then went out for prayer, when he was presented with bread and meat. He took three morsels out of that, and then offered prayer along with other people and did not touch water.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ جَمَعَ عَلَيْهِ ثِيَابَهُ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ فَأُتِيَ بِهَدِيَّةٍ خُبْزٍ وَلَحْمٍ فَأَكَلَ ثَلاَثَ لُقَمٍ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ وَمَا مَسَّ مَاءً
I was with Ibn 'Abbas, and Ibn 'Abbas saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ doing like this, and it is also said that the words are: He (the Holy Prophet) offered prayer; and the word" people" is not mentioned.
أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ شَهِدَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَقَالَ صَلَّى وَلَمَ يَقُلْ بِالنَّاسِ
