٤٠۔ كتاب الألفاظ من الأدب وغيرها

(1449) bukhari:4826al-Ḥumaydī > Sufyān > al-Zuhrī > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab > Abū Hurayrah

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah said, 'The son of Adam hurts me for he abuses Time though I am Time: in My Hands are all things, and I cause the revolution of day and night.'

(١٤٤٩) البخاري:٤٨٢٦حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ يُؤْذِينِي ابْنُ آدَمَ يَسُبُّ الدَّهْرَ وَأَنَا الدَّهْرُ بِيَدِي الأَمْرُ أُقَلِّبُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ

(1450) bukhari:6183ʿAlī b. ʿAbdullāh > Sufyān > al-Zuhrī > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab > Abū Hurayrah

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "They say Al-Karm (the generous), and in fact Al-Karm is the heart of a believer."

(١٤٥٠) البخاري:٦١٨٣حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَيَقُولُونَ الْكَرْمُ إِنَّمَا الْكَرْمُ قَلْبُ الْمُؤْمِنِ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "You should not say, 'Feed your lord (Rabbaka), help your lord in performing ablution, or give water to your lord, but should say, 'my master (e.g. Feed your master instead of lord etc.) (Saiyidi), or my guardian (Maulai), and one should not say, my slave (Abdi), or my girl-slave (Amati), but should say, my lad (Fatai), my lass (Fatati), and 'my boy (Ghulami).

(١٤٥١) البخاري:٢٥٥٢حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لاَ يَقُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ أَطْعِمْ رَبَّكَ وَضِّئْ رَبَّكَ اسْقِ رَبَّكَ وَلْيَقُلْ سَيِّدِي مَوْلاَىَ وَلاَ يَقُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ عَبْدِي أَمَتِي وَلْيَقُلْ فَتَاىَ وَفَتَاتِي وَغُلاَمِي

(1452) bukhari:6179Muḥammad b. Yūsuf > Sufyān > Hishām from his father > ʿĀʾishah

The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you should say Khabuthat Nafsi, but he is recommended to say 'Laqisat Nafsi."

(١٤٥٢) البخاري:٦١٧٩حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ خَبُثَتْ نَفْسِي وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ لَقِسَتْ نَفْسِي

Do not say, “My soul has become foul”

(1453) bukhari:6180ʿAbdān > ʿAbdullāh > Yūnus > al-Zuhrī > Abū Umāmah b. Sahl > his father

from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "None of you should say, 'My soul has become foul,' but rather let him say, 'My soul has become remorseless.'"

Uqayl followed him in narrating it.

(١٤٥٣) البخاري:٦١٨٠حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «لاَ يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ خَبُثَتْ نَفْسِي، وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ: لَقِسَتْ نَفْسِي».
