12.30 Encouragement to give in charity even if it is a little, and a little should not be withheld because one thinks it is too little

١٢۔٣٠ باب الْحَثِّ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ وَلَوْ بِالْقَلِيلِ وَلاَ تُمْتَنَعُ مِنَ الْقَلِيلِ لاِحْتِقَارِهِ

Do not belittle gifts from your neighbors, no matter how small

(609) bukhari:2566ʿĀṣim b. ʿAlī > Ibn Abū Dhiʾb > al-Maqburī from his father > Abū Hurayrah

The Prophet ﷺ said: “O Muslim women, let no neighbor look down upon a gift to her neighbor, even if it is a sheep’s hoof.”

(٦٠٩) البخاري:٢٥٦٦حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ {عَنْ أَبِيهِ} عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «يَا نِسَاءَ الْمُسْلِمَاتِ لاَ تَحْقِرَنَّ جَارَةٌ لِجَارَتِهَا وَلَوْ فِرْسِنَ شَاةٍ»
