“No one of you should belittle himself.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, how could anyone of us belittle himself?” He said: “If he sees something concerning which he should speak out for the sake of Allah but does not say anything. Allah will say to him on the Day of Resurrection: “What prevented you from speaking concerning such and such?” He will say: “Fear of the people.” (Allah) will say: “Rather you should have feared Me.”  

ابن ماجة:٤٠٠٨حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَحْقِرْ أَحَدُكُمْ نَفْسَهُ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ يَحْقِرُ أَحَدُنَا نَفْسَهُ قَالَ يَرَى أَمْرًا لِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ فِيهِ مَقَالٌ ثُمَّ لاَ يَقُولُ فِيهِ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ ﷻ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَقُولَ فِي كَذَا وَكَذَا فَيَقُولُ خَشْيَةُ النَّاسِ فَيَقُولُ فَإِيَّاىَ كُنْتَ أَحَقَّ أَنْ تَخْشَى

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should belittle himself or think little of himself when it comes to observing something for the sake of Allah, and he should not refrain from expressing it, fearing what people may say about him. On the Day of Resurrection, it will be said to him, 'What prevented you from saying such and such?' He will say, 'I was afraid of people.' Then it will be said to him, 'You should have feared Me more.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not belittle yourselves when you see a matter in which Allah has spoken. If you have something to say about it, say it, for on the Day of Judgment, it will be said to you, 'What prevented you from speaking about it?' The person will then say, 'O Lord, I feared people.' Allah will respond, 'I am more worthy of being feared.' Abu Nuaim (may Allah be pleased with him) commented on this Hadith, saying, 'And indeed, I am more worthy of being feared (referring to the Prophet Muhammad).'"

"لَا يَحْقِرَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَفْسَهُ أَنْ يَرَى أَمْرًا لله -تَعَالى- عَلْيهِ فِيهِ مَقَالٌ فَلَا يَقُول فِيهِ، فَيَلْقَى الله -تَعالى- وَقَدْ أَضَاعَ ذَلِكَ، فَيَقُولُ اللهُ: مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَقُولَ فِيهِ؟ فَيَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ! خَشْيَةُ النَّاسِ، فَيَقُولُ: فَإِيَّاى كُنْتَ أَحَقَّ أَنْ يَخْشَى".
