“O slavewoman of the Compeller, where are you headed?” She said: “To the mosque.” He said: “And have you put on perfume for that?” She said: “Yes.” He said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Any woman who puts on perfume then goes out to the mosque, no prayer will be accepted from her until she takes a bath.’”  

ابن ماجة:٤٠٠٢حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ مَوْلَى أَبِي رُهْمٍ وَاسْمُهُ عُبَيْدٌ

أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ لَقِيَ امْرَأَةً مُتَطَيِّبَةً تُرِيدُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَقَالَ يَا أَمَةَ الْجَبَّارِ أَيْنَ تُرِيدِينَ قَالَتِ الْمَسْجِدَ قَالَ وَلَهُ تَطَيَّبْتِ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ تَطَيَّبَتْ ثُمَّ خَرَجَتْ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ لَهَا صَلاَةٌ حَتَّى تَغْتَسِلَ

A woman met him and he found the odour of perfume in her. Her clothes were fluttering in the air. He said: O maid-servant of the Almighty, are you coming from the mosque? She replied: Yes. He said: For it did you use perfume? She replied: Yes. He said: I heard my beloved AbulQasim ﷺ say: The prayer of a woman who uses perfume for this mosque is not accepted until she returns and takes a bath like that of sexual defilement (perfectly). Abu Dawud said: Al-i'sar means dust.  

أبو داود:٤١٧٤حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ مَوْلَى أَبِي رُهْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

لَقِيَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ وَجَدَ مِنْهَا رِيحَ الطِّيبِ يُنْفَحُ وَلِذَيْلِهَا إِعْصَارٌ فَقَالَ يَا أَمَةَ الْجَبَّارِ جِئْتِ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَلَهُ تَطَيَّبْتِ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ حِبِّي أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ تُقْبَلُ صَلاَةٌ لاِمْرَأَةٍ تَطَيَّبَتْ لِهَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى تَرْجِعَ فَتَغْتَسِلَ غُسْلَهَا مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ  

قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الإِعْصَارُ غُبَارٌ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Any woman who puts on perfume and then goes out to the mosque, so that her fragrance can be smelled, her prayer will not be accepted until she performs ghusl to cleanse herself from major impurity."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ تَطَيَّبَتْثُمَّ خَرَجَتْ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ لِيُوجَدَ رِيحُهَا لَمْ يُقْبَلْ مِنْهَا صَلَاةٌ حَتَّى تَغْتَسِلَ اغْتِسَالَهَا مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ welcomed Abu Hurairah with a fragrant woman and said, "Where do you want to go, O servant of the Almighty?" She said, "To the mosque." He asked, "Have you perfumed yourself?" She replied, "Yes." Abu Hurairah said, "He (the Prophet) said, 'Any woman who goes out of her house perfumed, intending to go to the mosque, Allah will not accept her prayer until she returns and takes a bath, purifying herself from impurity.'"

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ اسْتَقْبَلَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ امْرَأَةً مُتَطَيِّبَةً فَقَالَ أَيْنَ تُرِيدِينَ يَا أَمَةَ الْجَبَّارِ؟ فَقَالَتْ الْمَسْجِدَ فَقَالَ وَلَهُ تَطَيَّبْتِ؟ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ إِنَّهُ قَالَ أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ خَرَجَتْ مِنْ بَيْتِهَا مُتَطَيِّبَةً تُرِيدُ الْمَسْجِدَ لَمْ يَقْبَلِ اللهُ ﷻ لَهَا صَلَاةً حَتَّى تَرْجِعَ فَتَغْتَسِلَ مِنْهُ غُسْلَهَا مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Any woman who perfumes herself for the mosque, her prayer will not be accepted until she washes off the impurities of Janabah (major ritual impurity)."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ تَطَيَّبَتْ لِلْمَسْجِدِ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ لَهَا صَلَاةٌ حَتَّى تَغْسِلَهُ عَنْهَا اغْتِسَالَهَا مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ
