١١۔ كتاب الكفارات

11.8 Those who say that the expiation is to not fulfill it

١١۔٨ باب مَنْ قَالَ كَفَّارَتُهَا تَرْكُهَا

ibnmajah:2110ʿAlī b. Muḥammad > ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr > Ḥārithah b. Abū al-Rijāl > ʿAmrah > ʿĀʾishah

"Whoever takes an oath to cut off the ties of kinship, or to do something that is not right, the fulfillment of his vow is not to do that."  

ابن ماجة:٢١١٠حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ حَلَفَ فِي قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ أَوْ فِيمَا لاَ يَصْلُحُ فَبِرُّهُ أَنْ لاَ يَتِمَّ عَلَى ذَلِكَ  

ibnmajah:2111ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbd al-Muʾmin al-Wāsiṭī > ʿAwn b. ʿUmārah > Rawḥ b. al-Qāsim > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar > ʿAmr b. Shuʿayb from his father from his grandfather

"Whoever swears an oath then sees that something else is better than it, let him not do it, and his leaving it is the expiation for it. "  

ابن ماجة:٢١١١حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُؤْمِنِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْنُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَرَأَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا فَلْيَتْرُكْهَا فَإِنَّ تَرْكَهَا كَفَّارَتُهَا
