ذِكْرُ تَمْثِيلِ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ طَاعَاتِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ الَّتِي كَانَ بِسَبِيلِهَا مِنْ قَدَمَيْهِ بِأُحُدٍ فِي ثِقَلِ الْمِيزَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

ibnhibban:7069Aḥmad b. ʿAlī b. al-Muthanná > Abū Khaythamah > ʿAffān > Ḥammād b. Salamah > ʿĀṣim Ibn Bahdalah > Zir b. Ḥubaysh

[Machine] That Abdullah ibn Mas'ud used to keep a siwak (a teeth-cleaning twig) for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made of Arak wood, and he had a dammah (a type of pulse) in his legs. So the people laughed. The Prophet ﷺ said, "What makes you laugh about the dammah in his legs? By the One in whose hand is my soul, they are heavier on the scales than Uhud."  

ابن حبّان:٧٠٦٩أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ ابْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ كَانَ يَحْتَزُّ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ سِوَاكًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ وَكَانَ فِي سَاقَيْهِ دِقَّةٌ فَضَحِكَ الْقَوْمُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَا يُضْحِكُكُمْ مِنْ دِقَّةِ سَاقَيْهِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهُمَا أَثْقَلُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ مِنْ أُحُدٍ»

[Machine] "He used to collect firewood from the thorny bushes, and he had thin legs. The wind made him stumble, and the people laughed at him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'What are you laughing at?' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we are laughing at the thinness of his legs.' He said, 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, those two legs are heavier in the scale than Mount Uhud.'"  

أحمد:٣٩٩١حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَجْتَنِي سِوَاكًا مِنَ الْأَرَاكِ وَكَانَ دَقِيقَالسَّاقَيْنِ فَجَعَلَتِ الرِّيحُ تَكْفَؤُهُ فَضَحِكَ الْقَوْمُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِمَّ تَضْحَكُونَ؟ قَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ مِنْ دِقَّةِ سَاقَيْهِ فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَهُمَا أَثْقَلُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ مِنْ أُحُدٍ  

tabarani:8452ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz And ʾAbū Muslim al-Kashhī > Ḥajjāj b. al-Minhāl > Ḥammād b. Salamah > ʿĀṣim > Zir > ʿAbdullāh

[Machine] I used to take refuge to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the thorns, and the wind would carry it away. There was a sound in his legs, so the people laughed. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Why are you laughing at the sound of his legs? By the One in Whose hand is my soul, they are heavier in the scale than Uhud."  

الطبراني:٨٤٥٢حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِرٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
