ذِكْرُ الْإِبَاحَةِ لِلْمَرْءِ النَّظَرَ إِلَى لَعِبِ الْحَبَشَةِ الَّذِي لَا يَشُوبُهُ شَيْءٌ مِمَّا يَكْرَهُ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلَا

ibnhibban:5867ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad al-Azdī > Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > al-Zuhrī > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] While the Abyssinians were playing with their spears, Umar entered and leaned on the stones, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Leave them, O Umar."  

ابن حبّان:٥٨٦٧أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

بَيْنَمَا الْحَبَشَةُ يَلْعَبُونَ بِحِرَابِهِمْ إِذْ دَخَلَ عُمَرُ فَأَهْوَى إِلَى الْحَصَا فَحَصَبَهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «دَعْهُمْ يَا عُمَرُ»

While some Ethiopians were playing in the presence of the Prophet, ʿUmar came in, picked up a stone and hit them with it. On that the Prophet ﷺ said, "O ʿUmar! Allow them (to play)." Maʿmar (the subnarrator) added that they were playing in the Mosque.

While the Abyssinians were busy playing with their arms in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ 'Umar b. Khattab came there. He bent down to take up pebbles to throw at them (in order to make them go off). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: 'Umar, leave them alone.  

مسلم:٨٩٣وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ عَبْدٌ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ ابْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
