ذِكْرُ وَصْفِ الْخَمْرِ الَّتِي كَانَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ تَشْرَبُهَا قَبْلَ تَحْرِيمِهَا

[Machine] "I used to give Abu Talhah, Abu Ubaydah, Ka'b, and Suhayl ibn Bayda dates wine and grape wine until they became intoxicated. Then a caller would call out, saying, 'Indeed, alcohol has been prohibited.' He said, 'By Allah, they did not wait to know its status, whether it was lawful or forbidden.' He said, 'Was it false?' They replied, 'No, it was enough, O Anas.' He said, 'So I stopped serving them.' He said, 'By Allah, I did not leave until they met Allah, and their alcohol was made from grapes and dates.'"
