ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ أَكْلِ الْمَرْءِ وَشُرْبِهِ بِشِمَالِهِ قَصْدًا لِمُخَالَفَةِ الشَّيْطَانِ فِيهِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should eat with his left hand or drink with his left hand, for the shaytan eats and drinks with his left hand." Ibn 'Uyaynah said, "O Abu 'Urwah, Az-Zuhri narrated this from Abu Bakr ibn 'Ubayd Allah, and Ma'mar said, 'Az-Zuhri used to narrate hadith from the people of a particular group, so perhaps this (hadith) is from them.'  

ابن حبّان:٥٣٣١أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَطَّانُ بِالرَّقَّةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَأْكُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِشِمَالِهِ وَلَا يَشْرَبْ بِشِمَالِهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ» فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ يَا أَبَا عُرْوَةَ إِنَّ الزُّهْرِيَّ رَوَى هَذَا عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ مَعْمَرٌ إِنَّ الزُّهْرِيَّ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ بِالْحَدِيثِ عَنِ النَّفْرِ فَلَعَلَّ هَذَا مِنْهُ
