ذِكْرُ الْأَمْرِ بِمُجَانَبَةِ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ عِنْدَ الْأَكْلِ

ibnhibban:5277 – al-Faḍl b. al-Ḥubāb > Abū al-Walīd > Shuʿbah > ʿAdī b. Thābit

[Machine] About Al-Bara' bin 'Azib, he said: they were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and they got some camels so they slaughtered them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Prepare the pots."  

ابن حبّان:٥٢٧٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ

عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَصَابُوا حُمُرًا فَذَبَحُوهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَكْفِئُوا الْقُدُورَ»

That when they were in the company of the Prophet, they got some donkeys which they (slaughtered and) cooked. Then the announcer of the Prophet ﷺ said, "Turn the cooking pots upside down (i.e. throw out the meat).  

البخاري:٤٢٢١ – حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى ؓ

أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَصَابُوا حُمُرًا فَطَبَخُوهَا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: أَكْفِئُوا الْقُدُورَ۔
