ذِكْرُ مَا يَجِبُ لِلْجَارِيَةِ إِذَا أُعْتِقَتْ وَهِيَ تَحْتَ عَبْدٍ أَنْ تَخْتَارَ فِرَاقَهُ أَوِ الْكَوْنَ مَعَهُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) offered Barirah a choice, and she chose for herself.  

ابن حبّان:٤٢٧٠أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

«خَيَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَرِيرَةَ فَاخْتَارَتْ نَفْسَهَا»
