ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ أَنْبَاءِ الصَّالِحِينَ، قَصْدُهُ تَسْهِيلُ الشَّدَائِدِ عَلَى النَّفْسِ

ibnhibban:2917 – Abū ʿArūbah > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. ʿAmr al-Bajalī > Zuhayr b. Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Shaqīq > ʿAbdullāh > a man

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ divided something, so I asked: "Has he not done justice in this?" He replied, "By Allah, I will definitely inform the Messenger of Allah." So I informed him, and he said, "May Allah have mercy on Moses, he endured things far worse than this and remained patient."

ابن حبّان:٢٩١٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَجَلِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ

لِشَيْءٍ قَسَمَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَا عَدْلَ فِي هَذَا؟ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ وَاللَّهِ لَأُخْبِرَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ «يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ مُوسَى قَدْ كَانَ يُصِيبُهُ أَشَدُّ مِنْ هَذَا ثُمَّ يَصْبِرُ»

[Machine] "He divided something, which the Prophet ﷺ did not approve of. So I said, 'By Allah, I will inform the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' And I informed him, and he said, 'May Allah have mercy on Musa, he used to suffer more severe things than this and be patient.'"
