ذِكْرُ الْإِبَاحَةِ لِلْمَرْءِ أَنْ يُوتِرَ بِغَيْرِ الْعَدَدِ الَّذِي وَصَفْنَاهُ

ibnhibban:2438 – ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad al-Azdī > Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm > Wahbb. Jarīr > Shuʿbah > Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Witr prayer with five (rak'ahs) and also used to perform Witr prayer with seven (rak'ahs)."  

ابن حبّان:٢٤٣٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَوْتَرَ بِخَمْسٍ وَأَوْتَرَ بِسَبْعٍ»

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «لَا تُوتِرُوا بِثَلَاثٍ أَوْتِرُوا بِخَمْسٍ أَوْ بِسَبْعٍ وَلَا تَشَبَّهُوا بِصَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ»
