ibnhibban:2276Jaʿfar b. Aḥmad b. Sinān al-Qaṭṭān Biwāsiṭ > ʿAmr b. ʿAlī al-Fallās

[Machine] "We used to pray with the Prophet ﷺ in the intense heat, and one of us would take a handful of pebbles and place them in his hand like this and then in the other hand like this. When they cooled down, he would prostrate on them."  

ابن حبّان:٢٢٧٦أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ سِنَانٍ الْقَطَّانُ بِوَاسِطَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْفَلَّاسُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

«كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ فَيَعْمِدُ أَحَدُنَا إِلَى قَبْضَةٍ مِنَ الْحَصَى فَيَجْعَلُهَا فِي كَفِّهُ هَذِهِ ثُمَّ فِي كَفِّهِ هَذِهِ فَإِذَا بَرَدَتْ سَجَدَ عَلَيْهَا»
