ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الدَّالِّ عَلَى صِحَّةِ مَا تَأَوَّلْنَا خَبَرَ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الَّذِي ذَكَرْنَاهُ قَبْلُ

[Machine] The translation is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to prolong the first two units of the dawn and midday prayers. He said, 'We used to see him doing that to allow people to catch up.'"  

ابن حبّان:١٨٥٥أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُطِيلُ فِي أَوَّلِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ وَالظُّهْرِ» وَقَالَ «كُنَّا نَرَى أَنَّهُ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ لِيَتَدَارَكَ النَّاسُ»
