ذِكْرُ السَّبَبِ الَّذِي مِنْ أَجْلِهِ أَسْفَرَ بِصَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ فِي أَوَّلِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ أَوَّلَ مَا أَسْفَرَ بِهَا

[Machine] "This is our prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them. When Umar was martyred, Uthman took charge of it, may Allah be pleased with him."  

ابن حبّان:١٤٩٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي نَهِيكُ بْنُ يَرِيمَ عَنْ مُغِيثِ بْنِ سُمَيٍّ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ الْغَدَاةَ فَغَلَّسَ فَالْتَفَتُّ إِلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةُ؟ قَالَ

«هَذِهِ صَلَاتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمَا فَلَمَّا قُتِلَ عُمَرُ أَسْفَرَ بِهَا عُثْمَانُ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ»

"I prayed the Subh with 'Abdullah bin Zubair in the darkness, and when he said the Taslim, I turned to Ibn 'Umar and said: 'What is this prayer?' He said: 'This is how we prayed with the Messenger of Allah and with Abu Bakr and 'Umar. When 'Umar was stabbed, 'Uthman delayed it until there was light.'"  

ابن ماجة:٦٧١ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا نَهِيكُ بْنُ يَرِيمَ الأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُغِيثُ بْنُ سُمَىٍّ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ الصُّبْحَ بِغَلَسٍ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ أَقْبَلْتُ عَلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذِهِ الصَّلاَةُ قَالَ

هَذِهِ صَلاَتُنَا كَانَتْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ فَلَمَّا طُعِنَ عُمَرُ أَسْفَرَ بِهَا عُثْمَانُ  

ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الْمُدْحِضِ قَوْلَ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ قَتَادَةَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ مِنْ أَنَسٍ

"I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman, may Allah be pleased with them, and I did not hear any of them say out loud: In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 907)  

ابن حبّان:١٧٩٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي غَيْلَانَ الثَّقَفِيُّ وَالصُّوفِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُمَا قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَشَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

«صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ فَلَمْ أَسْمَعْ أَحَدًا يَجْهَرْ بِبِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ»
