[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was visited by a woman who said, "I had given charity on behalf of my mother, but she passed away. The charity has now returned to me." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You will receive the reward for your charity, as it has come back to you." This narration is reported by Sufyan ath-Thawri and others, from Abdullah ibn Ata'ah, from Ibn Buraydah, from his father.  

الحاكم:٨٠١٧حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي تَصَدَّقْتُ عَلَى أُمِّي بِصَدَقَةٍ فَمَاتَتْ فَرَجَعَتِ الصَّدَقَةُ إِلَيَّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «وَجَبَ أَجْرُكِ وَرَجَعَ إِلَيْكِ صَدَقَتُكِ» رَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
