[Machine] "Abdullah ibn Abu Awfa, Abu Awfa's real name is Alqamah ibn Khalid ibn Al-Harith ibn Abu Usaid ibn Rifa'a ibn Tha'labah ibn Hawazin ibn Aslam ibn Afasah. He is also known as Abdullah Abu Muawiyah. The first major event witnessed by Abdullah ibn Abu Awfa with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the battle of Khaybar and thereafter he witnessed many other events. Abdullah ibn Abu Awfa remained in Madinah until the death of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, after which he migrated to Kufa and settled there along with the Muslims. He built a house for himself in Aslam and lost his eyesight. He passed away in Kufa in the year sixty-six."  

الحاكم:٦٤٣٠حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ

«عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي أَوْفَى وَاسْمُ أَبِي أَوْفَى عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي أُسَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ هَوَازِنَ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ بْنِ أَفْصَى وَيُكَنَّى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَبَا مُعَاوِيَةَ وَأَوَّلُ مَشْهَدٍ شَهِدَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي أَوْفَى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ عِنْدَنَا خَيْبَرَ وَمَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْمَشَاهِدَ وَلَمْ يَزَلْ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي أَوْفَى بِالْمَدِينَةِ حَتَّى قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَتَحَوَّلَ إِلَى الْكُوفَةِ فَنَزَلَهَا حِينَ نَزَلَهَا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَابْتَنَى بِهَا دَارًا فِي أَسْلَمَ وَكَانَ قَدْ ذَهَبَ بَصَرُهُ وَتُوُفِّيَ بِالْكُوفَةِ سَنَةَ سِتٍّ وَثَمَانِينَ»
