[Machine] "Aukbatu (a person's name) and Ali were wearing light sandals unlike those thick ones, so Umar asked me, 'When did you adopt their dress?' I said, 'I wore them on Friday and today is Friday.' He said to me, 'You have followed the Sunnah.' The narration from Ubaidullah ibn Umar from Nafi from Ibn Umar is authentic, that he did not set a specific time for wiping over the two khuffs (socks or sandals), and this hadith has also been narrated from Anas ibn Malik from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a valid chain of narrators except that it is an exception, just once."  

الحاكم:٦٤٢حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْإِسْفَرَايِينِيُّ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنِ الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ فَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ الْبَلَوِيُّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ وَفَدَ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَامًا قَالَ

عُقْبَةُ وَعَلَيَّ خِفَافٌ مِنْ تِلْكَ الْخِفَافِ الْغِلَاظِ فَقَالَ لِي عُمَرُ «مَتَى عَهْدُكَ بِلِبَاسِهِمَا؟» فَقُلْتُ لَبِسْتُهُمَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَهَذَا يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ لِي «أَصَبْتَ السُّنَّةَ» وَقَدْ صَحَّتِ الرِّوَايَةُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُوَقِّتُ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَقْتًا وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «بِإِسْنَادٍ صَحِيحٍ رُوَاتُهُ عَنْ آخِرِهِمْ ثِقَاتٌ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ شَاذُّ بِمَرَّةَ»
