hakim:6378Abū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb > al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī > Abū Usāmah > Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father > Ibn ʿUmar > a man Saʾalah > Masʾalah > Lā ʿAlim Lī Bihā Falammā Adbar al-a man > Ibn ʿUmar Niʿm Mā > Ibn ʿUmar Suʾil ʿAmmā Lā Yaʿlam

[Machine] "I have no knowledge of it." When the man turned away, Ibn Umar said, "Yes, what Ibn Umar said is good." Ibn Umar was asked about something he did not know, so he said, "I have no knowledge of it."  

الحاكم:٦٣٧٨حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَهُ عَنْ مَسْأَلَةٍ فَقَالَ

«لَا عَلِمَ لِي بِهَا» فَلَمَّا أَدْبَرَ الرَّجُلُ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ نِعْمَ مَا قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ سُئِلَ عَمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُ فَقَالَ لَا عِلْمَ لِي بِهَا
